We Kin Get Thin!

Since you faithful readers wanted to know more about me... here you go! :-) Feel free to post one in yours too (or even in the comments!), I like to learn about people!

1. I am a (mostly) functioning agoraphobic.

2. I absolutely LOVE the smell of fresh tomatoes. I sniff each one before I put it in a bag in the grocery store.

3. I am an alto atheist with a bad voice, but I sang soprano 1 in a church choir for Sunday services.

4. I am compulsively, freakishly early at all times.

5. I have 2 tattoos. My next (when I reach goal weight!) will most likely be a peacock feather.

6. I consider myself to be an extremely lucky person. Even in my "bad times", I've had it easy.

7. I am the only person I know who takes "you're just like your mother" as a compliment.

8. I have always wanted to be a clothing designer. If I have a pencil, I design a dress. I don't even realize I'm doing it! I don't really ever want to pursue it as a career, but I know I'll always dream it!

9. I have zero math skills. I honestly (seriously) cannot tell you what 9x7 is.

10. I have eaten, and enjoyed peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. (It's a grandmother thing! Not sure I could stomach it now, but I do remember loving it as a kid!)

11. My favorite flowers are lilacs.

12. I am obsessive compulsive. This affect quite a few things, but the weirdest is that I hit keyboard comments (or mouse clicks) WAY more times than needed. If I need to copy and paste something. I hit the "copy" command at least 3 or 4 times, or as many as needed for me to feel secure that it really copied.

13. A list of some of my all-time fave TV shows - Dexter, House M.D., Deadwood, Twin Peaks, Quantum Leap, Saved by the Bell, Project Runway, Battlestar Galactica, Rome, Star Trek TNG, MTV's Fear, and The Vicar of Dibley. And a billion more, I'm sure. But that's a nice sampling :-)

14. I make the world's best salsa. (though, it is *technically* a pico de gallo NOT a salsa, I still named it Shannon's Salsa Fresca)I won a competition with it, even! Dang, it's good. And I want some right now.

15. I really, strongly, dislike children. And I can't STAND it when people tell me I'm young and I will change my mind about having kids. I promise you, I won't.


16. I am off and on trying to learn to play the harmonica. I love the blues, and the harmonica always seemed like such a cool instrument to play! Its MUCH harder than it looks!

17. I am in love with all things peacock. I'm in total awe of their colors.

18. I love dogs and cats equally. Which, I guess, is rare!

19. While I don't really believe in astrology, my sign is Libra/Scorpio, and I am exactly 1/2 and 1/2 per the descriptions.

20. I have many many crushes on many many celebrities. Most of which, are middle aged musicians. (ie : Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, David Bowie, etc) The problem is, I am so strongly attracted to music and talent in general that it forms its own love, regardless of looks. So I get some sideways looks when I confess my infatuation!

21. If I could spend the day with any celebrity, it would be Alanis Morissette. (love!)

22. I looooooooooooooooooooooooove driving a convertible. I like to describe it as feeling a lot like swinging on a swing set. Which was always my favorite thing to do!

23. In May, I'll have been at my job for 8 years! And I still enjoy it!

24. My favorite cuisine is Japanese by far. Followed by Indian!

25. My middle name is Marie. After my Dad's Mother - Mary. Even though it's like, THE most common middle name, I think it's a beautiful name. Prettier than my first!
