What is your go-to food for a healthy breakfast?
For me?
It used to always be 2 eggs, 1 piece of toast, with veggies or salsa. I ate that for breakfast every day, for probably... 5 or 6 years! Now, my favorite thing is quick oats. Because I can take them work, they keep me full for a LONG time, and I can change the flavors on a whim! :-)
This morning, I had spiced apples, cinnamon, and chia in it.

Trader Joe's apple cranberry bran muffin. They're really dense and chewy, 80 calories and 14 grams of fiber. I usually have one with lite cream cheese and coffee. Then a little later I have some fruit; baby nana, pear, apple, mango, whatever I've got... yummmm
My breakfast usually is a protein shake.
- 1 scoop of whey protein
- unsweetened cocoa
- dash of xanthan gum
- dash of cayenne pepper
- dash of cinnamon
- dash of salt
- 1/4 cup of a DaVinci sugarfree syrup
- dash of liquid stevia
- TBSP peanut butter
- water
- ice
and blend.
It's good, filling, low in carbs and I can drink it on the road to work.
a lower sugar apples & cinnamon quaker (or store brand) instant oatmeal.
I used to eat oatmeal every morning! Best breakfast ever. But now I have to eat on the way to work - I usually pack up a whole wheat bagel with hummus. Lately I have been thinking about protein shakes but not sure they will fill me up...
Hey :o)
Oats are the absolute best thing you can have for breaky! Good on you.
Mine is still the Mix 1. On the run it is great, it fills me up and has a great mix of nutrients!
Oatmeal with raisins yummmyyyyyy

I make a fruit smoothie.. this consists of the yoplait frozen smoothie mix (I like the pineapple, strawberry mango) while you basically just mix up half the pack it calls for 1 cup of skim milk-- instead of skim milk I use light vanilla soy milk with a shot of asai juice and sometimes a little pineapple orange juice as well-- the whole smoothie is about 16 oz and keeps me full for a while-- mid morning I'll eat some "breakfast trail mix"
