Dr. Feelgoooooood

Doc appt was just fine. Did the usuals. I even got a flue shot! How exciting.
I asked her about my weird hunger pangs after eating. She agreed that it was weird, but didn't think it was anything to worry about it. I agreed.
I also asked her about the weight loss stalls. She gave me such a sweet face and said that is must be so discouraging. I agreed to that as well! I told her I was eating low carb, to which she said "Good!". I, of course, agreed with that too!

So, she wanted me to get my cholesterol checked anyway (she likes to check once in the 20's, especially with my family history, but it's not a concern!), so she added some thyroid and blood sugar tests to the mix. I'll get those done tomorrow.

I really don't think it will turn up anything. I think that it is simply a combo of genetics and PCOS that is stunting my loss. And nothing will help that but persistence and time.

These "hunger pangs" are you hungry after eating or do you have a pain in your stomach after eating?

Reason being, I have a hiatal hernia and (of course) GERD and a major symptom of GERD is stomach pain an hour later.

I had never related the two but I definitely get achy. ESPECIALLY if I eat too fast... like today at lunch... I wanted to play with iPhone. :D

Its definitely PAIN. It's just, a rumbly in my tumbly (as Pooh would say!) It simply feels like I haven't eaten in hours and hours and am so hungry! and then it goes away about 20-30 minutes later.

I thought I wanted an iPhone, but after playing with Joel's I changed my mind. (He (and his company) wrote the software for the GPS system on it!!!)
