Confessions

Let me share with you all my thoughts as of right now, well at least regarding the fitness aspect of my life. I haven't been very good lately, with the holidays and such, I've been busy. Not much time for working out. I have been eating mostly low-carb. I've had the occasional bite of cookie, stuff like that. I haven't been losing weight, but I also haven't been gaining. I'm okay with it for right now. Going forward, not so much, here's my plan. I'm going to save up some money, and buy a weight bench, and weights for home. I'm pretty low on space at my apartment, but I'll make it fit somewhere. Ideally, I'd love to get a stationary bike or something as well, but that's not going to happen until I have more room. For now(now as in right after the new year when everything calms down) I plan on heading to Chai's whenever possible right after work and steal some treadmill time from her, then head home and do weights there. Cardio is and will probably always be my hardest exercise. It takes the most time and it's the most boring, and at the same time, the most important. I'm also trying to figure out a way to afford the local gym that has classes in Muay Thai/submission grappling/escrima/and more. As soon as I figure out a way to afford that, I want to go as many days as I can physically handle. 2009 is the year I hit my weight goal. :) On top of all that, I'm planning on going beerless again. When I drink, it'll be jack and diet coke, or something along those lines.

Vodka is lowest in carbs... just so ya know! :D

Does the gym offer the classes separate from a membership or is that what you're talking about? I was thinking it might be cheaper to just get a class and take one class at a time.

If there is a college in your area a membership with their gym might be cheaper. I know my school offers memberships, although I think it's just to alumni.

Good luck with your goals! I hope 2009 is good for all of us!!! :D

The gym I'm looking at is unlimited classes. The first week is free, to see if you like the teachers and the gym, which is really awesome. I'm definitely looking forawrd to checking it out. :)
