Delicious Distractions from Deliciousness.

I was just sitting downstairs, watching Hannah Montana (DO NOT JUDGE ME, YOU) and I had very strong munchie urges.
I went to the kitchen. I looked at some labels. I tried to justify, and then I somehow talked myself out of it all.
I thought, why don't I just go upload some new pictures for my beautiful fans instead :-)

And so, here I am. :)

Well, well.. what do we have here?

This is some chili I put in the crock pot last night, it has : ground turkey, canned tomato, lime, cilantro, onions, garlic, jalapenos, kidney beans and seasonings. Took me all of 5 minutes to put together while I was hanging out with my Mom. Not bad at all, I say!

I got to taste it today, for lunch. I've got a couple baby potatoes cut up, and a spoonful of greek yogurt to cool it down a bit. It was so different than my usual chili, but very delicious. My usual chili is much richer, with beef, bacon, no beans. This chili is much lighter, and tasted fresh and veggie-like :) Delicious. And yes, in case you need MORE reasons to judge me, those ARE canned potatoes. We used to eat them when camping, and its just one-of-those-things...I know you have them too! A soft spot for childhood tastes. Seriously though, they are freakin' tasty.

But, going back to last night.. Mom and I went to the track and did some walking and some jogging... came back to my house and I made a giant frittata (with real potatoes, I promise). I didn't get any pictures last night... we were just too hungry! :-)
But, I got a picture of the leftovers!
Ingredients - diced light ham, spinach, onion, mushrooms, egg beaters, FF cheese, tomato

Also today I had a turkey bologna sammich. Toasted bread, mustard, turkey bologna. So simple, SO good. And a side o fruit.

And even more I'd like to mention!! My two new favorite supplements! MackAttack introduced me to the Mix 1 protein drink. I found them in my supermarket, and how fitting, because they are SUPER. Absolutely delicious, filling, great nutrition in them as well.
I can only pray that my store gets more flavors!
Secondly, LaraBars. These are the most refreshing products I have seen in, well, forever.
Little snack bars that have minimal ingredients, but maximum flavor. They are raw, gluten-free, soy-free, everything-free!

The one I ate today—the ingredients were : cashews, pistachios, dates.
THAT'S IT. The Key Lime flavor, which tasted beyond heavenly.... it's ingredient list is : lime concentrate, unsweetened coconut, dates, cashews, almonds.
In a world of page-long ingredient lists, that just blows my mind. And my taste buds!

Well, thanks for taking my mind of snacking, guys. I appreciate it :) And I hope you do too!

I will judge you for watching Hannah Montana. ;)

That chili looks good, and I don't like chili. Maybe because it's a crockpot meal.

And, to be 100% honest, I never have eaten canned potatoes. I actually didn't even know you could buy potatoes in a can!
