Mixed emotions

THE BAD

I haven't lost any inches. I keep weighing in throughout the week (I know, I know!), and it's only going up. I am getting that familiar wave of aggravation and disappointment. I never thought it would be this frustrating.. working so hard and getting nowhere. Usually, I am patient with life. But this is truly testing me.

THE GOOD

I am getting very comfortable and satisfied with my diet. I am making great decisions, planning well, and avoiding binges. I've been successful at curbing my free days. I've hit a good stride as far as that is concerned.

I am making excellent progress at the gym. At least, I feel I am. I feel stronger, and able to breathe easier. My muscles are hugenormous!

So, you take the good, you take the bad. (you take them both and there you have, the facts of life!)

I think some of the most important things in weight loss are: "making decisions, planning well, avoiding binges"! After all, exercising so hard at the gym is just completely undone by binging! I'm Kat and I just started blogging about trying to lose 100lbs. I am also trying to plan ahead and make sure I can be prepared to avoid binging. I put a link to your website on my page and I'll be reading your updates. Good luck! And, hopefully, you can check up on me sometime, I can use all the encouragement I can get!

Kat!

I hope you come back to see this :-)

I am unable to leave comments on your page, the captcha page gets cut off... I think you may need to fix it.. or turn off the captcha.

Anyway, here is my response to you! -

I am 27 too! I started at 267, and my goal is 112lbs to lose, too! I am doing the C25K program too!
I am from Mass, also!

We have lots in common, so I hope we succeed together, too! :-)

You know it's great that you are getting used to the diet and being healthy. Sorry about the inches and pounds. Sucks.

Hey! Thanks for giving me the heads-up about my comments not working... the comments box should be up and running now! :) I need a comment page like this one but I barely figured out how to put up the template for my page, so I have no idea how to do that.

We DO have so much in common! That's awesome. We can both totally get to -112! What week are you on C25K? Tomorrow I do Week 3 Day 3. I am thinking about repeating Week 3, depending on how my run goes tomorrow morning...

We should *totally* stick together through this and I think a 5k in the spring is a great idea! =) Keep up the good work, will be checking on you often!

It's really tough when you don't see numerical rewards for the work. I know it is only palliative to say, but know that your healthy decisions are affecting things inside your body that are not visible on the scale!
