2 months

Today, I have officially not lost any weight for 2 months. That means 8.5 weeks, or 59 days.

Frustrating as hell, let me tell you.

I have been eating a little too much fake stuff lately. Sugar-free candies and snacks and the such. I've been diligent about staying within my carb limit, but I still feel a little off-track with eating. Unfortunately, it takes the encouragement of weight loss (or the loss of inches) to keep me wanting to stay all inductiony in nature, all the time. I really enjoy my low carb bread, and diet soda and all that... but I am definitely not losing on it. But I am maintaining, which gives me sweet sweet hope. Because I am happy with what I eat now, and I can imagine living like this forever.

But what will make me LOSE weight now? Probably just solid exercise. So, I'll keep on with that. I know it's great for me, but it doesn't seem to be helping to take the pounds off either.

I will say, thinking about it... I am actually *amazed* that I am not losing.
I still have more than 80lbs extra fat on my body. I eat less calories than needed to maintain that weight. I exercise often. I eat 30g of carbs per day. My thyroid is completely fine.
Isn't that nearly scientifically impossible?

Ah well. You've heard my complaining enough!

Do you know how many calories you are eating? Maybe it is too little.

Sometimes to get off the stall, you have to eat really clean. I mean really, really clean. No fake sugars, no processed anything (even if they are low carb).

On the awesome positive side - how many people can say that they are maintaining through the eating season as you are? Bravo!

I keep my calories between 1600-1800 a day. To maintain my weight, I'd need to eat 2760. Which is why it amazes me that I don't lose on calorie deficit alone!

But I definitely don't think 1600 is too low. I keep going back to induction for a week or two at a time, but it doesn't seem to budge me either.

What kills me is, it's one thing to know what to do that works and just not do it. But I hate not knowing what is going to work for me!

I agree with Lori though...if you "deficit" too much it can really screw with your body.
Also, IMO the deficit plus the "fake" stuff can be very lethal.

Are you eating fat?
My low carb plan says you need fat to keep your body working...
????

I am right there with you though...I was maintaining for 40days before I had a drop...it was so H A R D!!!
But I stuck it out.
And I dropped a few pounds.
Now I'm maintaining again....
*sigh*

hm...but your calories are 1600-1800?
Wow...I can't seem to keep mine under 1900 but I love butter and cream!

heh yah, I think 1800 is extremely high, but that's what it goes to when I eat all the tasty fats I like! :-)

Perhaps it is the sugar alcohols? These can be very nasty particularly sorbitol and maltitol.

Hi Sherrie! While I doubt that the sugar alcohols are completely stalling me ( I don't consume enough for that, i don't think!) I will absolutely be cutting them out for a bit to get "back to the basics"
I stay away from too much maltitol as it is... and I think you can guess why! :-)

thank you!!
