Yearly Goal

Ok, I know what you're all wondering!

.... Did I gain weight on my trip?

Nope!  No I did not!

However, I am still UP 10lbs from the 211lbs I got down to a couple months ago, though.  The gain is still a mystery to me, but it's obviously not as temporary as I'd hoped.  It's amazing that I can go away for a week, eat only at restaurants.... and not gain a pound.  But I can wake up one day and be up 10 for no reason!  *sigh*

Anyway,  I am now 29 years old. I am not afraid of being 30, I'm not scared of getting older, age is just a number, and all that jazz.  However, I do always consider my birthday a "new year", a new beginning. And something about the round number of 30—and the idea of starting a new decade—makes me want to really achieve something before then.

It's only a year 'til then. And although some people can transform their bodies entirely in just a couple months... knowing mine, I don't think a year is enough time for me to get to goal weight. BUT, I'd truly like to make a big dent in it!

Here's the breakdown -

I have 66lbs to lose to reach my goal of 155lbs.

If I could lose 5.5lbs per month, I could reach that goal in one year...but I don't think that is realistic for me.
Instead, I am going to aim for ringing in my next birthday at 175lbs, which would be a loss of 46lbs, which would be just under 4lbs a month.  A pound a week.  Also, very ambitious, knowing how slowly I lose most of the time.  But, if I can hit a couple "spurts" as I do sometimes, it may end up evening out.

So, that's my plan.

How to achieve that? I haven't a clue.  I haven't decided about what I need to do to make this happen.  I keep changing my diet and workouts and I haven't found anything that works.  I am going to slowly get back to running a bit, which should help.  My physical therapist has cleared me to run  (with stipulations, of course!) so, I am excited about that.

Other than that, I'm just going to keep eating good, counting calories, carbs, proteins. Staying strict on the weekends, and giving my all at the gym.  I don't know what else to do, so, that is what will happen! :-)
