100in12 has presented me with this fabulous award -
How nice is that? Extra nice, I do say!
Of course, along with this comes the stipulation that I tell you all 7 things you don't know about me. This is gonna be hard!
1. I love ALL kinds of music. This is not a secret. But I have a super-soft spot for the Blues. I love dirty gritty guitar riffs and growly emotional singers. Think.. Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker type o deal. *love*
2. I like to think I am not stupid, but I have a horrible time with some VERY basic skills. I can't tell you the order of the months without always starting with January. I have a problem where I think the letter "Q" is nearer to the end of the alphabet, like, hanging out with XY&Z. I don't instinctively know Right from Left. I have to think about it. Every Time. Things like that!
3. I've always wanted to be a clothing designer. Since birth!
4. No matter how exhausted I am, I can ONLY sleep on my stomach.
5. My Dad is a musician, and my Mom is an Artist. And I think that's awesome. (just wish I inherited some more of their talents!)
6. I am OCD style obsessed with lotion. I put lotion on my hands probably 50 times a day. Maybe more!
7. I am legally blind.
Anything I should know about you guys?

Found these two fortunes from fortune cookies...

and
"Your secret desire to completely change your life will manifest"

Introduction - Coop-a-Loops
Posted on in silliness by Chai Latté
You've all been introduced to Corgi, Zevon, and even General Jelly Jamz the fish. But I think its time you met the one and only Coop*.
Sir Cooper Clumpypants Fisher-Hermance is my child from a previous marriage**. lol. He was an Easter gift to Adam when we first moved in together. Oh, he was so tiny and sweet. He turned into an evil screaming blood-drawing bastard. We assume he has anger issues over his father being gay and leaving his mom for a man in Las Vegas. At least, that's my story, but to be fair... some beasts are just beasts.
Since my beloved Joel is highly allergic to kitties, my darling Coop lives very happily with my parents now, but I give him plenty of sweeeeet sweet love when I visit.
He's fattened up and mellowed out and he's still a bitch but I love him very very much. :-) Here he is!!

(did I mention he has an alcohol problem?)

* What does this have to do with diet and exercise? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND I DON'T CARE LOOK AT HOW CUTE HE IS!
** For any new readers.. I have never actually been married before, especially not to Adam. Adam is my bestie since junior high. We were roomies, and he met a cute boy and moved to Vegas for a couple years, but he's back now!

You might be an athlete if . . .
Posted on in accomplishment, exercise, silliness by Chai Latté
Ok. So I know that technically an "athlete" means that you specifically train and participate in a competitive sport. But to me, athlete means that you are an active person. You push your physical self to improvement and strive for strength and health.
I have always fought being called an athlete. To me, I am just another fat girl trying to lose weight. But people lately have labeled me an athlete, because I am always working out. I thought I'd come up with a Foxworthy-style list of things that apply to me that might possibly make me an athlete :-)
YOU MIGHT BE AN ATHLETE IF . . .
. . . 1/2 of your underwear drawer is sports bras.
. . . you've got lifting gloves in your purse.
. . . you're no longer grossed out by your own sweating.
. . . your response to any invitation is - I gotta check my work-out schedule.
. . . boys ask you to open stuck jar lids, and carry heavy boxes.
. . . you feel your own muscles when no one is looking!
. . . you look at other athletes with inspiration, rather than jealousy.
. . . you have more than one pair of athletic sneakers, and they are both busted up!
. . . "careful, that box is heavy" sounds more like a challenge, than a warning.
You might be an athlete if . . . you're willing to do the work, and open to receiving the rewards.

I just created a new slang for you.
Posted on in poop, silliness by Chai Latté
Blue Bowels.
Similar to Blue Balls, but pertaining to poop.
You're convinced you gotta deuce. Oh, SO BAD. You go to the potty station, and all you get is a "poooof" Nothing. No dice. You leave the bathroom with a bad case of blue bowels.
Use it, it'll catch on.

plop plop fizz fizz
Posted on in poop, QandA, silliness by Fatty McFat-Fat
Oh what a relief it is :) Sometimes you just can't go wrong with a crappy question.
As with Chai, my defecation duties(read doodies) aren't on a clockwork schedule. Depending upon how much coffee, and/or cheese I've consumed affects the different rate at which I drop a floater. Which in case you forgot, means I've got healthy poops. :) On average It's every other day or so. I kinda wish I had to pinch a loaf right now.

How often do you poop?
Posted on in poop, QandA, silliness by Chai Latté
Hahah Thank you, Melissa, for this question! :-)
I'm not too sure how often I drop a deuce, I never really paid much attention.. but I would say, normally I probably turd once every other day. If I drink a hot coffee, though, I poop IMMEDIATELY.
Eating low carb has changed my log patterns for sure though. When I was eating "normal" (normal for me = BAD), I definitely pooped every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I assume, just from the sheer volume of food I would consume.
These days, it seems I make very little waste. I guess that is the proof of a very efficient machine!
Fatty... please share your nugget stories. :-)
